A lamp and a desk organiser in one object, and one of Joe Colombo’s signature designs of Italian Space Age. Designed in 1967 for Kartell, the KD29 sets a glossy white diffuser, wrapped in a bold black band, above a sculpted glove compartment.

Lit, the dome gives a soft, even glow over the tray. Unlit, it’s a sculpture. Colombo was fascinated by multifunctional objects for the home of the future, and the KD29 captures that idea perfectly. It’s just as good on a bedside table, a console or a desk.
